City to honour local veterans at the Boulevard of Heroes unveiling

Custom street banners naming individual veterans. A new group joins the roster this year.

The City of Edinburg, with the Edinburg Arts Foundation and H-E-B Operation Appreciation, announces the Boulevard of Heroes unveiling ceremony, an event to highlight the service members of the Edinburg community.

The ceremony takes place on Thursday 3 September 2026 at the Edinburg ACE Center, 315 W. McIntyre Street. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning promptly at 6 p.m.

The Boulevard of Heroes installs custom street banners that name individual veterans, so their service is recognised across the city. This ceremony welcomes a new cohort of veteran banners to the roster; the official roster is at edinburgarts.com/boulevardofheroes.

Civic leaders, veterans' advocacy groups, military families and the general public are invited.
