Mayor and City Commission

Seven members — the mayor, two commissioners at-large and four single-member districts. Every vote they cast in the published meeting is here, by name.

City Manager: Xavier Salinas

Two commissioners at-large and four single-member districts, each elected to a four-year term. The commission appoints the Mayor Pro-Tem, who serves in the absence of the mayor. Regular meetings are at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month, in the Commission Legislative Chambers at City Hall.

The districts and the mayor pro-tem above are the city's own, printed on its own City Commission page. Where a city does not publish them, this build leaves them off rather than filling them in — a seat number invented for a real person is the kind of small false detail that discredits every correct thing around it. Here they did not have to be invented.

Agendas, minutes and how each member voted

The city currently publishes its agendas as documents inside a viewer. On that page a screen reader meets ninety progress bars with no accessible name before it reaches the agenda. Published as text, a meeting becomes something a resident can read on a phone, in either language.
