A proposal for the district
One platform the district owns, instead of five it rents
5,917 students, 13 campuses, an A-rated district, and a board that already records every trustee's vote by name — then publishes it as a fax scan nobody can read. This is that same record as text, in both languages, in the same system as the website and the bus map.

The board record the district already keeps
Texas law asks only that the minutes indicate each vote. Roma ISD records how every trustee voted, by name, on every motion — 505 meetings' worth since 2010, entirely voluntarily. Then it publishes it as an image of paper. Here are three of those meetings as words.
- 25 June 2026 — a seat filled and a conflict declared
A vacancy filled 5–0, a district judge administering the oath the same evening, and a trustee abstaining on the consent agenda over a named company.

Where's my bus
The question the district gets more than any other, and the one its current systems cannot answer. A parent should not have to telephone a campus office to find out whether to keep a five-year-old standing at a stop.

13 campuses and centres along US 83 in Starr County. The district graded A with a score of 92 in 2025-2026; seven campuses earned A's and two earned B's.

The district's largest campus and the one that sets the bell schedule every northern bus route has to meet. Seven distinction designations in 2025-2026, more than any other campus in the district.

Why this is one system and not five
The website is rented from one company, the board record from a second, the time clock from a third, the employee records from a fourth, and each of nine campuses runs a site of its own on its own subdomain. None of them share a record, so a change of telephone number has to be made five times — and the district still cannot tell a parent where the bus is.
