Request public records
Under the Texas Public Information Act, most city records are yours to see.
How to do it
- Describe the records you want as specifically as you can: dates, department, subject.
- Send the request in writing to the City Secretary — by the form on this site, by mail, or in person at City Hall.
- The city has ten business days to respond or to ask the Attorney General for a ruling.
- Ask for the records in the format you can actually use. If you need an accessible format, say so — it costs you nothing.
This is handled by City Secretary.
If any of that does not work for you
Call (956) 487-0672 and say what you need. If you need a document in large print, plain text or read aloud, or you need an interpreter, ask — it costs you nothing and you do not have to explain why.
