Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who submits content or uses the Service.
Qué Hay deliberately has no general forum, no anonymous posting, and no open discussion. Comments exist on events only, under real names, with human moderation. The Valley is a small, interconnected community where anonymous commentary causes real harm to real neighbours. This constraint is a feature, not a limitation.
1. Post real events
Every event you submit must be a real event that you are authorized to publicize, with a date, time and location you believe to be correct. Inventing events, listing events you have no connection to, or posting an event to drive traffic elsewhere is the most serious violation of this policy and will result in immediate removal and account closure.
2. Prohibited content
- Content that is unlawful, or that promotes or facilitates unlawful activity.
- Content that attacks, degrades, threatens or harasses a person or group, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Sexually explicit material, and any content sexualizing a minor.
- Content depicting or glorifying violence, or promoting weapons sales.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights — including flyers containing artwork you do not have the right to use.
- Personal information about another person published without their consent.
- Deceptive content, impersonation of a person, business, church, school or government body, and false claims of affiliation or endorsement.
- Spam, repetitive listings for the same event, misleading titles, and keyword stuffing.
- Fraudulent offers, illegal ticket resale, and multi-level marketing recruitment presented as an event.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Scraping, crawling or bulk-copying the Service or its database without our written permission.
- Circumventing rate limits, access controls or security measures.
- Introducing malware, or attempting to disrupt or overload the Service.
- Using another person's account, or creating accounts to evade a suspension.
- Submitting fake reviews, or reviews for services you did not purchase.
- Automated registration or submission without permission.
4. Reviews and ratings
Reviews may only be left by someone who actually engaged the vendor through a completed inquiry. Reviews written by the vendor, by a competitor, or in exchange for payment are prohibited and are removed.
5. Reporting
Every listing has a report control, and anything reported is reviewed by a person, normally within 24 hours. To report content write to [email protected] with the link and what is wrong with it. To report a safety emergency, contact local law enforcement first.
6. How we enforce
Depending on severity and history we may edit or remove content, add a warning label, limit an account's features, suspend it, or close it permanently. We aim to notify you and give you a route to respond, except where the content is severe or where notice would frustrate the purpose of the action.
Every moderation action is recorded and reversible, and is reviewed by a person before it becomes permanent. If you believe we got it wrong, write to [email protected].
