Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, write to [email protected] and a person will answer.

Is Qué Hay free?

Yes. Qué Hay is free for anyone looking for something to do, permanently. There is no subscription, no paywall, and no account required to browse.

Does it cost anything to post an event?

No. Posting events is free and will stay free. Parishes, schools and nonprofits get every feature at no cost, forever. If we ever charge, it will be for optional extras like analytics, featured placement or customer leads — never for posting.

What area does Qué Hay cover?

The four counties of the Rio Grande Valley: Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy — around 1.4 million residents, plus roughly 100,000 Winter Texans each season.

How do I post an event?

Send us the flyer. You photograph or forward the flyer you already made, and we pull out the date, time, venue, price and performers. You confirm, and it publishes in both English and Spanish. There is no form to fill in.

Is the site in Spanish?

Yes, fully. Every listing and every part of the interface exists in both English and Spanish. You can switch languages at any time from the header, and the site will suggest a language based on your device settings.

Do you list events across the border?

We plan to cover events in the neighboring border cities that Valley residents and Winter Texans actually attend, along with live bridge wait times per port of entry, because that is a genuine planning input here.

Will there be an app?

Yes — iOS and Android apps are planned alongside the website, with offline access so the current weekend is readable without a signal.

How do I know an event listing is accurate?

Every listing shows when it was last updated and who submitted it, and anything uncertain goes to a human before it publishes. Even so, events get changed and cancelled — confirm with the organizer before driving a long way.
