City and county offices, school districts, libraries, parks departments, chambers of commerce, and the CVBs. If you already publish a calendar somewhere, this is the same work reaching further.
Accounts are free permanently. Nobody at a public body should have to justify a subscription to list a parade.
What we have found trying to do this for you
We looked at whether we could simply read the five largest Rio Grande Valley districts' calendars. Two of the five publish something a machine can read. One publishes twenty-one items, most of them awareness months. One publishes a PDF that is an image, with no text in it at all.
That is not a criticism of anyone. It is why we would rather give you somewhere to post than quietly scrape a page and get it wrong.
What a district account carries
Athletics, band and fine arts, fundraisers, registration deadlines, board meetings, and closures. Closures matter most and are the thing families search for first.
Every listing appears in English and Spanish. You write it in whichever language you work in and we publish both — a district whose families read Spanish should not have to translate its own calendar twice.
Verified, and what that means
A public body gets a badge that says the listing came from the office itself rather than from a flyer somebody photographed. It is a statement about provenance, not about importance.
It never buys position. Paid placement exists on Qué Hay and it is always labelled and always separate from the ordinary order of events.
